An abridged version of William Shakespeare’s classic comedy is coming to a space where it was always meant to be performed: right under our beautiful canopy of trees and starlight! Come join the royals, the starry-eyed lovers, the rude mechanicals, and the mischievous woodland faeries as they spin their magical tale!

Performances are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm.

The Heidi Chronicles

The Pulitzer Prize winning drama comes to the Hard Bargain Stage for the very first time! The fictional story of feminist art historian Heidi Holland takes the audience on the life-shaping journey from young adult to womanhood. The play’s themes of feminism, equality, and social injustice are just as important today as they were 30 years ago, proving the vitality of Wasserstein’s masterpiece.

Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 pm.

The DC area premier! Based on the novel and film of the same name, “Let the Right One In” is the haunting tale of a boy’s friendship with a mysterious young female neighbor. As he struggles with adolescence, bullies, self-isolation and an alcoholic mother, she struggles with a deep secret she must keep from her new friend and a hunger that must be satisfied to survive.

Oskar is a bullied lonely teenage boy living with his mother on a housing estate at the edge of town, when a spate of sinister killings rock the neighbourhood. Eli is the young girl who has just moved in next door. She doesn’t go to school and never leaves the flat by day. Sensing in each other a kindred spirit, the two become devoted friends. What Oskar doesn’t know is that Eli has been a teenager for a very long time – Jack Thorne’s adaptation of Let The Right One In premiered in June 2013 at the Dundee Rep Theatre in a production by the National Theatre of Scotland, before transferring to London’s Royal Court Theatre in November 2013.
