Blues Night

Digging in to his renowned collection of ‘50s blues records from labels like Chess, Vee Jay and Excello, Mark Wenner brings together some shining traditional blues from the Chicago and Louisiana schools.  He shows off this classic repertoire with a band of the region’s finest blues men.  Mark’s Blues Warriors feature Mark Wenner’s harp and vocals and up and coming DC based Clarence “Bluesman” Turner.  Clarence’s creative guitar playing and authentic vocals have been garnering him a fast growing following in DC.  Also on guitar is Robert Frahm who has been setting area bandstands on fire with his mastery of traditional American roots guitar styles.  This accomplished band is flushed out with a world class rhythm section:  Steve Wolf on upright bass, and the Nighthawks’ own  Mark Stutso on drums and vocals.
